BC Children's Hospital Research Institute Funding
In promoting research excellence, awards are granted at BC Children's Hospital Research Institute to foster research collaborations and networks, and to develop core facility capabilities and specialized services. The Research Institute provides the following funding programs to support institution-wide research initiatives:
Clinical Research Capacity Building Award
The Clinical Research Capacity Building Award provides salary support to clinical research program coordinators who empower the activities of clinical research teams based on the Oak Street campus or at Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children.
- The Research Unit’s main purpose must be to conduct health-related clinical research. It needs to have a clearly-defined research agenda, and be associated with a Research Institute cluster.
- The Team Leader (Research Unit Head) is required to be a full member of BC Children's Hospital (Category 1, 2, or 3) and be undertaking clinical research relevant to the mission of the Research Institute.
- $125,000 over a five-year term
