Research Trainee Education Program

This research trainee program provides opportunities for students and trainees to build on the skills and knowledge needed to enhance their health research careers.

Along with the elements inherent to each trainees program of study, the Research Education Office offers -

  • extra-curricular training opportunities to build research and analytical capacity and enhance career development skills
  • a wide range of special events that exposes students and trainees to research across disciplines and offers an opportunities to present and discuss their own work 
  • funding on a competitive basis for studentships and fellowships, subsidize conference participation and short-term training opportunities

Summer Student Research Program

The Summer Student Research Program provides undergraduate and medical students an opportunity to conduct a summer research project, apply for funding, and participate in an eight-week research education program at BC Children's Hospital. 

Clinical Research Education

The clinical research education provides training resources and professional development opportunities for clinical research coordinators and research staff on the Oak Street campus. This includes workshops, lunch & learns, and online resources.

Education Outreach

Opportunities for high schools and the general public to learn about the latest research discoveries are offered through-out the year. This includes the annual Mini Med School series and several Open Houses aimed at providing high school students hands-on research experience. Upcoming events are available online.
