This knowledge translation project explores strategies for vaccine counselling in different healthcare settings and provides opportunities for multidisciplinary discussion and collaboration among BC frontline healthcare providers.Optimizing Vaccine Uptake in Solid Organ Transplant Recipients
Children who have had organ transplant are at increased risk of infections, including infections with vaccine preventable diseases. National Immunization Awareness Week is a time to recognize the importance of vaccines and their vital role in protecting individuals and communities against infectious diseases. We spoke to Dr. Mitchell about her work and how her interest in translating research findings into day-to-day clinical practice helps to prevent infections in immunocompromised children.
