Registration for Mini Science Night is now open. Click here to register. Please note, Mini Science Night 2024 is being held in Salmon Arm.

Are you interested in attending Mini Science Night? Follow the steps below to learn more about the registration process.

Are you eligible to attend?

Registration for Mini Science Night is open to everyone in the community. This includes students, teachers, parents, seniors and local healthcare professionals. Admission is free but space is limited to 50 participants.

Some students may find the Mini Science Night learning format challenging. As the curriculum has been designed for a senior high school audience (grades 10-12), any younger participants should consider their preferred learning style and comfort level before deciding to register.

How will you register?

The link to the registration form will be posted below on Tuesday, April 2, 2024

To complete the registration form you will be asked to provide the following:

  • Your name, city of residence and email address
  • High school students will also need to state their grade and school name
How do we select who actually participates?

To maximize engagement, registration will be restricted to the first 50 participants who submit the registration form.

BC Children's Hospital Research Institute strives to empower youth and promote an equitable and inclusive learning environment. Further space is available for individuals who identify as First Nations, Inuit, or Métis. Participants will be asked to self-identify as Indigenous on the registration form.

Can eligible students register for both Mini Science Night Salmon Arm and Mini Med School Vernon?

Eligible high school students can register for both Mini Science Night Salmon Arm and Mini Med School Vernon if interested. Please note, the research themes discussed at both events will be similar. It will also be the same group of BC Children's Hospital presenters for Mini Med School Vernon and Mini Science Night Salmon Arm. Some students may find this repetition tedious.
