Congratulations to the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute (BCCHR) investigators and their teams who were awarded funding through the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Operating Grant: Understanding and mitigating the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on children, youth and families in Canada.
Awardees are researching the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the health and well-being of children, youth and families in Canada. Their projects are focused on the stresses and traumas of the pandemic itself, as well as the implications of public health restrictions in response to the pandemic. One of the main goals of this funded research is to provide important information to policymakers so they can better understand the effects of these events on children, youth and families, and rapidly address these evolving challenges.
