- Overview
-
Accidental or sports-related injuries can damage the teeth and its related structure and may end up with losing a tooth totally or having one knocked out completely which will lead to more serious complications. The type, location, and severity of each injury may affect the course of treatment. Teeth has to be examined right away by a specially trained dentist. Adjacent teeth may occasionally sustain an additional, undetected harm that can only be found by a comprehensive examination.
The findings of our outcomes research, which take into account clinical, economic, and quality of treatment and post-treatment follow up outcomes, can help health care decision-makers choose the most suitable procedure or treatment, as well as how to enhance existing dental/medical interventions and treatments.

The impact of myofascial dysfunction on chronic pain: Q&A with Dr. Gillian Lauder and Nicholas West
During National Pain Awareness Week, we sat down with BCCHR researchers to discuss myofascial dysfunction and pain. Myofascial dysfunction makes it hard for soft tissues to move as they normally would, may lead to chronic pain, and is often underdiagnosed or misdiagnosed.
