Our Research
Our team is focused on investigating use of virtual reality technology in pediatrics and providing evidence-based answers to help clinicians and health practitioners determine how to best use this innovative technology for everyday use.
Over the past 15 years, the technology and accessibility, as well as the wide-spread application of VR, has progressed immensely. Although originally designed for entertainment purposes, the potential use of VR in medicine is rapidly expanding.
We have shown that virtual reality can easily be implemented for acute and chronic pain as well as to support reduced pain and anxiety in children.
