The RICHER Program’s overall research goal is to better understand how to identify, consider and support the ways that social and structural determinants impact the health of children, youth and families. Our priority is to accomplish this through meaningful co-identification and co-design of research questions and studies with community members/those with lived experience.
Specific interests of our research team include:
- Models of health care delivery for families from historically marginalized identities
- Meaningful research co-design with community partners
- Disproportionate impacts of health crises (e.g., COVID-19) on communities with intersecting structural barriers to care
- Impacts of the opioid epidemic on children, youth and families
