Funded by BC Children's Hospital Foundation, Mini Med School Yukon Scholarships provide $500 CAD to support tuition fees at any post-secondary institution, whether national or international.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the Mini Med School Scholarship, you must:
- Be a Grade 12 student currently enrolled in a Yukon public or private school, graduating in 2025
- Have participated in the Mini Med School Yukon program on Friday, March 28, 2025

To apply, you must submit:
- Mini Med School Scholarship Application Form: Coming soon!
- High School Transcript: Your most recent grades. This can be an unofficial transcript from the Ministry of Education or any transcript issued by your school.
- Resume
- Short Essay: In 500 words or less (approximately a one-page word document, single-spaced), answer the following question: Share your long-term academic and career goals. Explain what you love about this field of study and how you became interested in it. Include any experiences that strengthened your passion and outline how you plan to make a difference in this area in the future.
Assessment Criteria:
Up to four $500 scholarships will be awarded based on:
- Scholarly success: Academic achievement, awards and honours
- Community engagement: Volunteer work, job experience, and extracurricular activities
- Application form and essay
FAQ
Can I apply if I'm in Grade 11 now? No. To be eligible to apply for the upcoming scholarship, you will need to attend Mini Med School Yukon 2024 as a grade 12 student.
Do I need to know my future school or field of study to apply? No, but you will need to outline your current plans on the application form. We understand that plans may change.
Is enrollment in a Yukon high school required? Yes, you must be enrolled in a Yukon-based high school.
Is there a minimum GPA requirement? There is no minimum GPA, but academic success will be a factor in the evaluation.
Can I apply if I plan to take a gap year after high school? Yes, but please clarify your future plans in your application.
