Personalizing Care in Pediatric Cancer + Revolutionizing Childhood Diabetes Care in British Columbia
Thanks to the explosion in genomic medicine and data, there has been a rapid change in how we treat children with cancer. This talk will highlight how cancer treatment is using precision medicine to personalize care for children diagnosed with cancer. Digital technology and artificial intelligence have the potential to revolutionize health care by shifting resources from treating illnesses to promoting health and preventing disease. Technology can empower people to take an active role in their health and wellbeing, and advanced analytics can generate insights that lead to proactive prevention and early detection. This will ultimately reduce costs in the health-care system and contribute to healthier communities.
