A Prospective study Evaluating COVID-19 Vaccine immunogenicity in Organ Transplant Recipients (the PREVenT-COVID study) Extension– Pediatric Arm

Project Summary

Children who received organ transplant are eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccine when it is licensed for their age group. People with organ transplant may have different immune response to COVID-19 vaccine compared to their "healthy" peers. This is the extension of the PREVenT-COVID study. We will assess immune response to COVID-19 vaccine in BC children living with organ transplant 2 years following their first vaccination to better understand long-term immunity.

This project is supported by the Transplant Research Foundation of British Columbia and Big Gifts for Little Lives Alberta.
